‘After only 3 months of support, children’s Phonics Age had improved by 9 months!’

A trained teaching assistant teaches a small group of children for half an hour four times a week. The intervention can also be delivered by a teacher.
  • Teaching assistants said that their training sessions helped them to deliver  Project X CODE more effectively and they particularly valued the clear and detailed explanations and the chance to practise phonics themselves
  • Teachers said that their introductory half day of training helped them to support Project X CODE more effectively and they particularly valued the practical, focused session content, the clear guidance on how to organise Project X CODE and support teaching assistants and having the chance to be able to ask questions and receive full answers.
